Program

WIA (Women in Action) is a Women Community Based Program that is committed to assisting women starting at age 18, in living positive lifestyles through intervention and prevention programs. Our focus is to be a resourceful support system that contributes to women in our communities. In our efforts to serve we have design generation areas that we provide services to Youth (ages 18-24 years old) Adults age (24 years and older). As a community provider, we will provide resources and projects that benefit victims, survivors, and at-risk individuals and families as it relates to trauma prevention and community services.

Mental Health, Trauma Informed Care, Support Group & Education

Mental Health Support Group assist women with mental illness achieve their maximum level of functioning, minimizing symptoms, reduce the frequency of breakdowns and help improve their recovery. Services are limited to individuals who do not have serious mental illness.

The Trauma of victimization is a direct reaction to the aftermath of crime. Some crime victims suffer a tremendous amount of physical and psychological trauma.

Services includes:

•Case management/ongoing assessment

•Advocacy

•Support group sessions

•Individual counseling

•Family support and education
