What to Expect

Every contact to "The Power of Faith" is unique. Some are survivors and some are family members or friends seeking help for someone. Each contact is specific to the individual, and our advocates are available to answer questions and provide information.

Some of the questions advocates ask callers:.

Are you in a safe place to talk?

Can you tell me a little about your situation?

Is this your first time seeking help?

Are you able to take care of yourself?

Are you thinking about leaving your situation?

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Advocate Recommendations

Our advocates are not therapists, however, depending on the call, the advocates will talk to you about different courses of action. If during the course of the call the advocate identifies unhealthy behaviors in your relationship, they will brainstorm with you to find healthy alternatives.

Our advocates are available to take calls Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, we also have the local Missouri and Arkansas hotline available to call 24/7.

We are not able to make decisions for the caller. The advocate is available to answer questions about healthy relationships and how to handle an unhealthy and abusive relationship.
